Dr. Hamdan earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University and a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies from the American Open University. She held academic positions at several institutions, including the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, and the University of Sharjah in the UAE. Later, she served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia .
