1.2 How to Register a Death
The following persons should be contacted immediately when death has occurred: - family doctor
- local undertaker/funeral director - Imam of the local mosque (for washing and funeral prayer) - close relatives
1.2.1 If death occurs at home and the cause of death is known
1. The family doctor should be contacted immediately. Provided the doctor attended the dead person during his last illness, he can certify the cause of death. He will issue a medical certificate free of charge, which states the cause of death.
2. The local undertaker should then be informed that a medical certificate has been issued.
