A beautiful book, well-presented and clearly written, which brings together all the essential elements of Hajj and Umrah. A must-read for all those intending to perform the sacred journey. In addition to educating the reader on the rituals of Hajj and Umrah, this text masterfully weaves together relevant history, prophetic traditions, Qur'anic ayat, words of wisdom from scholars, spectacular photography, relevant infographics, maps, and Arabic calligraphy. This is one of a few texts in the English language that is not dry or overly technical. The list of du'à (with translation and transliteration), the glossary of Arabic terms, and the question-and-answer section at the back of the book are invaluable.
The author has kept the Western Muslim in mind as he provides practical tips on preparing for, carrying out, and following up on the pilgrimage. The content of the book has also been accredited by several qualified scholars so that, insha Allah, everything is based on the established teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah, with the ultimate aim of helping the reader to attain a Hajj Mabrur.
