CHAPTER 5
Family
The vast majority of daily actions in life are halal (permissible), meaning that many of you may not need to make significant adjustments in areas such as work, shopping, or hobbies. Thus, I will refrain from delving deeply into these matters, allowing the general guidelines pro- vided in Chapter 9 to suffice for now. However, it is crucial to acknowl- edge that most if not all of you have families, and embracing Islam will inevitably have some impact on your relationships, as is the case with any major life decision. Each family dynamic is unique, and the specifics of how Islam influences your familial relationships will vary depending on your unique circumstances and family set up. Therefore, I will offer some broad guidance and advice to help you navigate this aspect of your journey. And Allah's assistance is always sought. hom asiel arimom ostri
First and foremost, dear brothers and sisters, it is important to under- stand that the path you have chosen is one beloved by Allah. Among all humankind, none were more beloved to Allah than His proph- ets and messengers, whom He selected to carry His message. Prophet Muhammad received a substantial amount of backlash despite be- ing the most honoured and cherished individual among his people, and he faced severe opposition for conveying the message of Islam. Despite these hardships, he remained pleased with Allah's decree. Therefore, the reactions of others, even those closest to you, should never deter you from doing what is right.
Allah says:
"And We have enjoined upon man to be good and dutiful to his parents, but if they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your d Preturn, and I will inform you about what you used to do."
Understand that any trials you face from your family are not without precedent. You only have to read the stories of those whom Allah

Introduction
I begin in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Him who has no partner, the one who favoured us with Islam, al-Hadi (the Guide), al-Karim (the Most Generous), who chose us purely through His kindness and not due to us being deserv- ing. I testify that He alone deserves to be worshipped and I testify that Prophet Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
This book is a small gift to my new brother or sister in Islam, a humble piece of work which I hope will be of great benefit to its reader and a means of solace, comfort, and ease in your journey ahead. The journey that you are now embarking upon is one that I myself began 15 years ago (at the time of writing this heartfelt advice). A journey that I am extreme- ly grateful that Allah & chose for me, and a journey in which I hope concludes with me returning to Him as a believing faithful slave.
One of the inspirations behind this book is that, in the 15 years I have been a Muslim, I've never seen people entering into Islam with such fre- quency as I do today, al-hamdu li-Llah. Every single one of those who enter Islam is their own unique person that Allah has blessed through His guidance; they have their own motivations and compulsions that led them to embracing Islam. They have their individual needs that require tailored support on their new-found, faithful journey.
I want to begin by congratulating you on accepting the truth of Islam and expressing my utmost joy at your entry into this fold. Muslims in the West are a very small minority and Allah selected you from all of His creation to join this honoured group.

CHAPTER 4
Who is the Prophet Muhammad?

Ounfaltering love for Prophet Muhammad. But who is this most noble of men?
He is Muhammad, the son of Abdullah, and the grandson of 'Abd al- Muttalib, hailing from the esteemed tribe of Quraysh in Makkah, Arabia. His noble lineage, tracing back to Prophet Abraham, stands as a testa- ment to the authenticity of his prophethood. Muhammad was born in Makkah in the year 570 CE. Tragically, his father passed away before his birth, and soon after, his mother too passed, leaving him to be raised un- der the care of his uncle Abu Talib, a respected member of the Quraysh tribe.
Muhammad, surrounded by a society that was largely illiterate and ignorant of science, grew up without learning to read or write, a state of being that persisted throughout his life. Despite this, he became re- nowned for his impeccable character, gaining a reputation for his truth- fulness, honesty, generosity, and sincerity. His integrity was so widely ac- knowledged that those who knew him bestowed upon him the honorific title of "The Trustworthy". This unwavering trustworthiness is one of the reasons why Allah, in His infinite wisdom, selected Muhammad to convey His final message to humanity. As the Prophet of Islam, he embodied the highest moral standards long before the revelation of his prophetic mission. odgorad
We believe that Allah, in His Divine Plan, sent numerous prophets and messengers throughout the ages, beginning with our father Adam and concluding with Prophet Muhammad, who is revered as "The Seal of the Prophets". It is a fundamental tenet of Islam that every Mus- lim must accept Muhammad as the final prophet sent by Allah. He is the last in a long line of prophets mentioned in the Qur'an and Hadith.
To be a true believer, one must accept all of Allah's prophets and the di- vine messages they were sent to deliver throughout the course of human
