The Clear Quran - with Arabic Text | Hardcover
Dr. Mustafa Khattab is one of the most trusted and easy-to-understand English translations of the Holy Quran available today. This beautiful hardcover edition presents the Arabic text alongside clear modern English translation, helping readers understand the message of the Quran with greater clarity and connection.
ABOUT THE TRANSLATION Thousands of hours have been put into this work over the last few years to guarantee accuracy, clarity, eloquence, and flow. To achieve accuracy, the translator has made use of the greatest and most celebrated works of old and modern tafsir (Quran commentaries), and shared the work with several Imams in North America for feedback and insight. For clarity, every effort has been made to select easy to understand words and phrases that reflect the beauty, flow, and power of the original text. Along with informative footnotes and surah (chapter) introductions, verses have been grouped and titled based on their themes for a better understanding of the chapters, their main concepts, and internal coherence. Thanks to our dedicated team of scholars, editors, and proofreaders, we believe that what you are holding in your hands now is the finest translation of the Final Revelation. This translation has been officially approved by Al-Azhar (the most prestigious school of Islamic knowledge in the world) and endorsed by ISNA and the Canadian Council of Imams.

The Night Journey (Al-Isra')
سورة الإسراء
Since Abraham () is praised in the last verses of the previous surah as a role model for the world, this Meccan surah speaks of how the Prophet () is honoured in this world through the Night Journey from Mecca to Jerusalem then to the heavens and back to Mecca all in one night (verses 1 and 60). He () will also be honoured on the Day of Judgment through the station of praise where he will make intercession (verse 79). The children of Israel are referred to passingly at the end of the previous sûrab, but more insights are given about them both at the beginning and the end of this surah. The key to suc in this life and salvation in the next is encapsulated in a set of divine command 2-39), along with a warning against Satan and his whispers is critical of the pagan arguments against resurrection and erses 89-93). Criticism of attributing partners and children the next surah.

512 Al-Isro' refers to the Prophet's Night Journey from Mecca to Jerusalem about a year before his emigration (or Hijrah) from Mecca to Medina. This journey came as a comfort for the Prophet after several years of hardship and persecution, which included a 3-year siege by Meccan pagans, who drove the Muslims out of the city and forbade anyone from trading, marrying, or feeding them. This was followed by the "Year of Sadness," which included the death of the Prophet's uncle Abu Talib, the major defender of Muhammad (a) despite his disbelief in his message, as well as the death of the Prophet's beloved wife Khadijah. The Prophet was carried overnight by a noble steed (called Burdq) from Mecca to Jerusalem where he met some earlier prophets and led them in prayer. He was later carried to the heavens (this journey is called Al-Mira), or the Ascension) where he received direct orders from Allah to observe five daily prayers. The Ascension is referred to in 53:13-18.
