125 PRAYER Ibn 'Amr narrated that Prophet Muhammad() said: "The prayer (salaah) which Allaah loves most is Daawood's prayer. He used to sleep half of the night, pray one third of it, and then sleep the remaining sixth." Collected by Ahmad, Aboo Daawood (Sunan Abu Dawud, vol. 2. p. 674, no. 2442), an-Nasaa'ee and Ibn Maajah (S.J.S. 170]. It is also collected by al-Bukhaaree (Sahih al-Bukhari, vol. 2, p. 129, no. 231) and Muslim (Sahih Muslim, vol. 2, p. 565, no. 2595). Aboo Hurayrah stated that Allaah's Messenger() said: "Prayer (salaah) in congregation is twenty-five times better than individual prayer." Collected by Muslim (Sahih Muslim, vol. 1, p. 314, no. 1360) and al- Bukhaaree (Sahih al-Bukhari, vol. 1, p. 351, no. 619) from Aboo Sa'eed al-Khudree. The wording is that of Muslim. 3 AGE Abu Bakrah mentioned that Prophet Muhammad() said: "The best of people are those whose lives are long, and their deeds are good. While the worst of people are those whose lives are long and their deeds are evil." Collected by Ahmad, al- Haakim and at-Tirmithee [S.J.S. 3297]. Mishkat al- Masabih, vol. 2, p. 1094 "Give full measure when you measure and weigh with an accurate balance. That is good and better in the end." 133 PROPHET 40A ZOA BAO Anas related that the Prophet() said: "None of you has truly believed until I become more beloved to him than his father, his children and all mankind." Aboo Hurayrah quoted the Prophet () as saying: "A single prayer in my mosque is better than one thousand prayers anywhere else except the mosque of Makkah." 123 PRAYER Umm Salamah stated that Prophet Muhammad() said: "The best prayer (salaah) for women is in the inner rooms of their homes." Collected by Ahmad and at- Tabaraanee [S.J.S. 3311]. A similar narration is also collected by Aboo Daawood (Sunan Abu Dawud, vol. 1, p. 150, no. 570) from Ibn Mas'ood and authenticated in Saheeh Sunan Abee Daawood, vol. 1, p. 114, no. 533. (( خَيْرُ صَلَاةِ النِّسَاءِ فِي قَعْرِ بُيُوتِهِنَّ )) . 'Abdullaah ibn Buraydah reported that 'Imraan ibn Husayn asked the Prophet () about the prayer a man offers while sitting. He replied: "His prayer (salaah) standing is better than his prayer sitting. His prayer sitting is [worth] half his prayer standing, and his prayer lying down is [worth] half his prayer sitting."
