The 8 Gates of Jannah | Islamic Guide to Paradise and Righteous Deeds
The 8 Gates of Jannah explains the eight doors of Paradise mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah, guiding readers on the righteous actions and virtues that lead to eternal success.
From Author:
Jannah is the calling of every Muslim: eternal bliss in the company of the prophets, truthful, martyrs, and righteous.
As part of Allah's immense mercy, He has made the paths to Jannah easy and plentiful. It has eight gates, as the Prophet ﷺ informed us. Each gate has a unique virtue that, if we adhere to and live by, we will be allowed to enter from it.
The 8 Gates of Jannah is a scholarly collation of qur'anic passages and prophetic traditions speaking about these paradisal gateways and how we can be among those admitted through them.
May we be among those people about whom Allah said: "Gardens of lasting bliss with gates wide open for them."

be able to cover in forty years from one end to another of Jannah, and a day would come when it would be fully packed." (Sahih Muslim 2967,

'Abdullah ibn Salam () narrated: The Prophet (#) said:
إِنَّ مَا بَيْنَ مِصْرَاعَيِ الجَنَّةِ مِقْدَارُ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا، وَلَيَأْتِينَّ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمًا يُرَاحَمُ عَلَيْهِ كَارْدِ حَامِ الإِبِلِ وَرَدَتْ لِحَمِّي ظِمَّاءٌ
"The distance between the two gate-panels of Jannah is the distance of forty years. And a time will come when it (the gate) will become as crowded as a drinking-trough surrounded by thirsty camels." (al- Tabarani al-Mu'jam al-Kabir 14970, Şahiḥ according to al-Albāni)
Ibn al-Qayyim () stated:
"The hadith of forty years distance may be referring to one of the greatest doors of Jannah." (Hädi al-Arwäḥ, 115)
Al-Şan'ani (a) stated:
"The gates of Jannah vary in their distance. Some are the distance between Makkah and Hajar and others are forty years in distance." (al-Tanwir Sharḥ al-Jami' al-Saghir, vol. 4, 522-523)
In Jannah's gates, a vast expanse is seen, As told by the Prophet, in words pristine.
The distance spans like Makkah's sacred ground, To distant lands where heavenly grace is found.
Between two panels, gateposts wide apart, A journey waits, where blissful dreams may start.
For forty years, they stand as a divide, Yet in a crowded future, they'll coincide.
A scene where hearts of faithful souls will throng, As camels gather 'round a watering song.
These gates, they vary in their vast expanse, Some wider than the eye can hope to glance.
In Paradise's embrace, they welcome all, Each gate, a wondrous tale for hearts to call.
So strive, O souls, toward Jannah's radiant gleam, Where gates are vast, and love's the eternal theme.

Bab al-Dhikr, where souls find their delight, On Judgment Day, they shine in Allah's sight.
The reward of dhikr, a treasure so vast, In Jannah's embrace, they're forever steadfast.
Replying to the adhan, a blessed decree, Leads to Jannah's shade, in happiness and glee.
Planting your trees in Jannah's sacred ground, With dhikr, the seeds of Paradise are found.
Those who remember Allah, their hearts are bright, In Jannah's gardens, they find pure delight.
The Prophet's dream of the Hereafter, so sublime, A vision of Jannah, a glimpse of eternal prime.
Their only regret: not paying dhikr more heed, In Jannah's bliss, their souls will ever feed.
Those who mention Allah, by the Throne are known, In Paradise's gardens, they've truly grown.
The best deed, to die in dhikr's embrace, In Jannah's beauty, they'll find their place.
Remove from Hell those who Allah's name adore, Through dhikr's blessings, they shall suffer no more.
Gardens of Jannah, where believers tread, In dhikr's fragrance, their souls are led.
