Description of islamic Book

Stories Of The Prophets by Hafiz Ibn Katheer

This book presents the significant occurrences in the lives of God's prophets and Messengers, from Adam, the first prophet, to Jesus (peace be upon them all). It is a compilation of the stories found in the Qur'an and the narrations of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which have been thoroughly researched and verified. Belief in all of Allah's Messengers and prophets is a fundamental aspect of the Islamic faith. Denying any of them is considered disbelief, and glorifying them beyond their honorable status, as some followers of other faiths do, is also incorrect. {The Messenger [Muhammad] believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the believers. Each one [of them] believes in Allah, His Angels, His books, and His Messengers. We make no distinction between any of His Messengers. And they say: We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [

Allah, the Exalted (Subhanahu wa Ta'âlâ - Glorified and
Exalted is He) has mentioned the incident of Prophet Adam () in the following chapters and verses of the Qur'an:
And remember when your Lord said to the angels: Verily, I am going to place humankind, generations after generations, on earth. They said: Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, while we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You. He [Allah] said: I know that which you do not know. And He taught Adam the names of everything, then He showed them to the angels and said: Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful. They [angels] said: Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All- Wise. He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names. When he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not tell you that I know the unseen in the heavens and the earth and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing? And remember when We said to the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam. And they prostrated except Iblees (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers. And We said: O Adam, dwell you and your wife in the paradise, and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things therein as whereever you will; but come not near this tree, or you both will be of the wrongdoers. Then Satan made them slip therefrom [the paradise] and got them out from that in which they were

STORIES PROPHETS
"O my people! Worship Allah! You have no god other than Him!"
Every prophet and messenger sent to humankind had the same basic message. All of them invited people to the worship of Allah alone. In the current age of individualism, one's wishes and desires are considered above everything, sometimes even above the command of Allah (st). In this context, when an average individual reads about the prophets, he/she goes through their messages and incidents rather cursorily. There seems to be a veil of sorts, wherein the reader feels rather disconnected from these incidents and does not understand their relevance to his/her day-to-day life.
This is where Ibn Katheer's comprehensive work, Stories of the Prophets, comes in. One of the most widely-read books of this highly acclaimed scholar, it details the lives of those prophets who have been mentioned in the Qur'an- either by name or by reference.
Along with the related Qur'anic verses and hadiths, each chapter brings to light the very human aspect of all the prophets, making them come alive for the reader. The minute details ensure that you, as a reader, are inspired from their personalities, understand the underlying meaning of their message and regard them as role models in your personal lives.
This new and completely revised edition is made more helpful to the modern-day reader by the inclusion of an appendix listing useful websites that provide reliable information on Allah's prophets. Whether you are a student learning more about the prophets, a researcher looking for authentic references or simply an individual looking for a "light read", this book is for you.
