Ahhhhhh... dreams! Such a wonderful way to imagine and wish for things that allow you to be your best self i have learned that we can make our dreams come true by turning them into goals. Goals are the targets which help keep us focussed and are the steps and actions we take towards achieving our dreams.
Your goals may be things that you want to achieve today (short term geals), in a couple of months (medium term goals) or in a couple of years (long term goals) Remember that nothing is impossible for you, with the help of Allah the Most High!
So how do you get from dreaming to achieving? How do you make these dreams a reality? These are the steps you can take to realise your dreams:
Set your goals
Practice a sprinkle of visualisation
Add some positive affirmations
Check your mindset
Be very grateful to Allah (shukr)
Make plenty of du'a to Allah (pray to Him), knowing
that He is the All-Hearing and All-Powerful
Trust in Allah and have complete reliance on Him (tawakkul)
Now
you are on your way to making your dreams come true, insha'Allah!
Let's begin with goal setting.
Setting Your Goals
I remember taking a younger cousin ice skating as i thought it would be a great way to spend some girly time bending, I had never ice skated before, but i had often seen people ice skate at the rink whilst we played in the play gym opposite, and thought it looked so effortless and so much fun Well let me tell you I was all over the place sliding around clumsily on the ica Every time I moved my feet would knock into the side of the rink or fall - my arms, legs, hands, even my bettem hit the floor pretty hard whilst attempted to carry on "bending" with my bemused cousin. An elderly lady elegantly skated up to me and said, "Oh love, you are so brave to keep carrying on" I gave her my best smile, trying to hide my pain, and vowed to myself that I was going to learn to skate because it was my dream to glide gracefully across the skating rink, at least once in my life."
So how did turn this dream into an achievable goal? I wrote down what I wanted to achieve - to skate competently across the length of the rink without falling ever visualised myself skating in that rink I made du'a to Allah to make this happen and trusted that He knew when was the best time for this du'a and dream to come true. I found out the times that the rink held skating lessons and attended these i watched videos which explained skating techniques and practised and practised until i achieved my goal Alhamdullah!
Now it's your turn to think about your dreams and write them down These may include what you want to achieve at school, in your personal life, in your relationships with family and friends, en skills that you want to acquire. Ne dream is too big or too small, if it is important to you

When things feel like they are getting too much for me, I will take a deep breath in, breathe back out slowly and calmly tackle one thing at a time.
