Description of islamic Book

Muharramat Forbidden Matters Some People Take Lightly

Some Muslims who are either ignorant or of weak faith still commit many acts which Allah never allowed. Ignorance is not an excuse for doing Muharramat, hence is the importance of such books which deal in detail with many Muharramat that should be consciously learnt and consequently never committed.

While ignorance is sometimes cited as an excuse, in matters of religion, it is not a valid justification for engaging in what Allah has clearly prohibited. Islam places great emphasis on seeking knowledge, as it is through knowledge that one distinguishes between right and wrong, lawful and unlawful, virtue and sin. Therefore, it is a personal responsibility upon every Muslim to learn and understand the limits set by Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him), and to remain conscious of avoiding that which leads to His anger.

This is precisely why books that deal comprehensively with the muharramat are of critical importance. Such works do not merely list the forbidden acts but delve into their wisdom, consequences, and the textual evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah. They aim to awaken the conscience, educate the mind, and strengthen the heart against temptation. By becoming aware of what is forbidden, Muslims can consciously steer away from it, make sincere efforts toward repentance, and build a life that aligns more closely with the path of righteousness.

Introduction
Praise be to Allah; we praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah () from the evil of our own souls and from our evil deeds. Whomever Allah guides will never be led astray; and whomever Allah leaves astray, no one will guide. I bear witness that there is no true god but Allah Alone, with no partners or associates, and I bear witness that Muhammad () is His Slave and Messenger.
Allah, be He glorified and exalted, has laid down obligations which we are not permitted to ignore, and has set limits which we are not permitted to transgress, and has set out prohibitions which we are not allowed to violate. The Prophet () said:
"Whatever Allah has permitted in His Book is allowed, and whatever He has prohibited is forbidden; whatever He has remained silent about is a concession, so accept the concession of cession of Allah, for Allah is never forgetful."
Then he recited the ayah (verse):
(سورة مريم: ٦٤)
... وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَيا
... and your Lord is never forgetful.)
(Qur'an 19: 64)
The things which have been prohibited are the boundaries
or limits set by Allah ():

Some Muslims who are either ignorant or of weak faith still commit many acts which Allah never allowed. Ignorance is not an excuse for doing something wrong or illegal, hence it is important to make an effort to learn what these muharramât or forbidden acts are, in order to avoid ever committing them. The author, Shaykh Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid, explains many of the forbidden acts that have to do with calling on human beings and things other than Allah, worshipping the dead and circumambulating their graves, invoking prophets and the dead, magic, fortune-telling, believing in the power of astrologists and planets and other acts that go against the Islamic creed of monotheism (tawheed). As such this book of prohibitions regarding beliefs and acts of worship is a helpful resource for Muslims, if they are really practicing Islam and want to avoid committing great sins.
