Description of islamic Book
Islamic Influence on the European Civilization by Dr. Omar Ahmed Kaser is an insightful Islamic history book that explores how Muslim scholars and civilizations shaped the development of Europe. It highlights contributions in science, philosophy, medicine, and culture during the period often referred to as the “Dark Ages.”
From Author:
This book aims to shed light on a neglected yet crucial period in world history—when Islamic civilization preserved, developed, and transmitted knowledge to Europe.
While Europe experienced what is often described as the “Dark Ages,” the Muslim world was flourishing with scientific discoveries, intellectual advancements, and cultural achievements. This work highlights how Muslims played a key role in preserving ancient knowledge and advancing it further.
About the book Between the ancient civilizations, namely the Egyptians, Greek, Roman, Persian, Indian, and Chinese, and the Renaissance era in Europe, there was a gap, commonly called 'the dark ages', during which the flame was hosted, not by the Western World, but by another culture and people called the Muslims. 'The dark ages' reflects the civilization in Europe between the 7th and 13th centuries, but by no means does it express the state of affairs in the Muslim world or the Islamic Civilisation at that time when science were as bright as the midday sun. That era, unjustifiably, has been commonly neglected and overpassed, as if nothing happened. This paper is an effort to allude to the important events which took place and the significant scholars and scientists who lived during that period. This work is, therefore, dedicated to the torchbearers of Islamic Civilisation, the Muslim Scientists and Physicians of the past, the present and the future. AL-FIRDOUS Al-Firdous Ltd.
