Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shinqeeti (1905–1973) was a distinguished Islamic scholar from Mauritania, renowned for his expertise in Tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), and Arabic language. He is best known for his monumental work "Adhwaa' al-Bayaan", a unique Qur’an commentary that explains verses of the Qur’an using other verses—a method known as tafsir al-Qur’an bil-Qur’an.
