Key Takeaway:
life. It is
Dhikr, the remembrance of Allah, is the lifeblood of the heart and nourishment of the soul in every season of s through dhikr that the believer stays spiritually awake, anchored in the presence of the Divine while the world rushes past. Allah Himself declares, "Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest" (Q 13:28). Whether whispered on the tongue or engraved in the heart, dhikr brings light to the soul, polishes the heart, and draws the servant closer to their Lord. Every utterance of subhan Allah, al-hamdu lilläh, and Allahu akbar is a seed of Paradise, a shield against heedlessness, and a step towards iḥsan-worshipping Allah with deep awareness of His watchfulness and a longing for His proximity. It is this awareness and longing that beget His "withness"; He is with His slave who remembers Him and mentions His name. The Prophet said, "The example of the one who remembers Allah and the one who does not is like the living and the dead." Dhikr is, quite literally, our lifeline. It is to the soul what food and water is to the body. Through it, the soul becomes alive, alert, and intimate with the Divine, until remembrance becomes constant and closeness becomes reality.

Sunnah, nafilah, mustahabban and ranbah mu akkadah
Key Takeaway:
Ihsan Nawafil, the voluntary, supererogatory prayers beyond the obligatory, are among the most beloved deeds by which a servant draws near to Allah. In a profound hadith qudsi, Allah says: "My servant continues to draw near to Me with nawafil until I love him..."-a divine promise that reveals the immense spiritual power of these quiet, often hidden acts. Nawafil are not mere extras; they are a secret path to divine acquaintance and gnosis, a means of beautifying and perfecting our fara'iḍ, and a way of expressing our adoration to our creator. These prayers cultivate discipline, serenity, and inward focus. Through consistent nawafil, the heart is softened, sins are erased, and the soul is elevated to the station of iḥsän. They are a gift to those who seek more-not just to fulfil a duty, but to live in loving veneration
of their Lord.

The Second I of Success
Consider the following parable:
There is a famous story of a king whose city faced extreme drought. As a result, only a few of the publicly designated goats could be milked and thus, milk
became a rare commodity.
As a solution, the king set up a big container in the middle of the city and asked everyone to deposit one cup of milk after milking their animals so it could be
distributed to those in need.
One villager did not want to comply and decided that he would outsmart the system by depositing a cup of water instead of the milk required from him. He reasoned that not only would he have his full share of milk by doing this, but the water would also increase the quantity of milk in the big container, making it a
win-win solution.
When the king opened the large container the next day, he was shocked. Instead of finding a container filled with milk, he found a container filled with water. Each of the villagers had cheated in an attempt to outsmart the system. While the action of one would not have made much of a difference, the collective
disobedience brought about great harm.

When even a single person engages in sin, the outcome is never individual. The Qur'an teaches us in no ambiguous terms that there is a cosmic consequence to divine disobedience. This is why the shariah does not leave the matter of interest to the consideration of individuals, but holistically forbids it for every single person. Spiritual consequences aside, Allah & prohibits riba lest a society finds itself in a situation where debt creation surpasses wealth creation-the blueprint for civilisational collapse. To make money through trade, one requires both time and effort. To make money from interest, one just needs time. With every tick of the clock, what one is owed multiplies, and money is made out of thin air. Naturally, the long-term effect of this is that there will never be enough real money to cover the debts. Not only will economies crash as a result, but the borrower will be enslaved in the process.
Allah is the owner of all wealth, and He has distributed it amongst us as He sees fit-He is the best disposer of affairs. Some of us receive more and others less. Allah gradated provision among His creation-and this is in wealth as much as anything else. He says:
واللَّهُ فَضَّلَ بَعْضَكُم عَلَى بَعْضٍ فِي الرِّزْقِ
"Allah has favoured some of you over others in provision.
