about reciting the Qur'an while in a state of sexual impurity. He said, 'No, not
even a letter."51
الله عنه: "من كفر بحرف منه يعني القرآن بن مسعود رضي ۱۱۲ - وقال عبد الله
فقد كفر به أجمع.
112-'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Whoever
denies a letter of it - meaning the Qur'an - has denied all of it."52
١١٣ - وقال أيضاً: من حلف بسورة البقرة فعليه بكل حرف منها يمين".
113 - He also said: "Whoever swears by Surah al-Baqarah, must swear an oath with every letter from it."53
١١٤ - وقال طلحة بن مصرف قرأ رجل على معاذ بن جبل فترك واواً فقال: "لقد تركت حرفاً أعظم من جبل أحد".
114 - Talha ibn Musarrif said: "A man read to Mu'adh ibn Jabal and he left out the letter (waw) so he said to him: "You have left out a letter that is greater than
mount Uhud".
