The Story of Prophet Adam
Part 1
Creation of Adam
ong before Adam drew his first breath, before his clay form ever took shape, the earth had known other inhabitants. For two thousand years, the jinn had walked its surface, beings of fire who eventually fell into corruption and bloodshed. Allah sent an army of angels who drove most of them into the depths of the sea, and in the silence that followed, the celestial realm prepared for something new.
In that timeless space before humanity existed, Allah the Almighty gathered His angels with an announcement that would forever alter the cosmos. "I am going to place a new authority on earth."
The angels, in their purity, could not comprehend such wisdom. They questioned: "Will You place on it a new creation who will make mis- chief and shed blood, whilst we we glorify You with praises and sanctify You?"
Surah al-Baqarah (2:30)

The Story of Prophet Ibrahim
Part I
The Birth of Ibrahim in Babylon
After Prophet Hud and Salih, the line of prophets contin-
ued. From the lineage of Nuh came a man who would be- come one of the greatest prophets ever sent to humanity. His name was Ibrahim, the son of Azar.' His mother's name was Amilah.
The world Ibrahim was born into was steeped in darkness. The peo- ple of Chaldeans, a city of Babylon, worshipped the planets, believing that the stars and celestial bodies had power over events in the world. They carved idols depicting these planets as gods, naming each statue after a star or heavenly body. Ibrahim's own father would manufac- ture these idols and sell them, spreading the misguidance even further.
Ibrahim also had two brothers: Nahur and Haran. Haran would later have a son who would be Ibrahim's biggest supporter: Lut. This nephew of his would also become a prophet of Allah. Tragedy struck early on when Ibrahim lost his brother Haran, making him a father figure to Lut.
