Nourishment of the Hearts and Relief of Sorrows
said, "...and I saw a man from my Ummah, he had surrounded him, so the remembrance of Allah came to them away."
He said, "Whoever holds fast to seeking forgiveness, Allah will make a relief for him from every sorrow and a way out of every hardship, and provide for him from where he would not reckon.".
And in an authentic narration, "the best supplication for seeking relief is that a servant says:
O Allah you are my Lord, there is no deity worthy of worship but You, You created me and I am Your slave and I hold to Your covenant and Your promise as much as I can, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I admit my sins, so forgive me, for none pardons sins except You."
He said, "No people sit in a gathering, remembering Allah, that the angels surround them, mercy covers them, tranquility comes upon them, and Allah mentions them with those who are with Him."
He also said, "None have sat in a gathering where Allah is not praised and the salutations are not sent upon their prophet, except that there is cause of grief upon them; if Allah wills, He punishes them, and if he wills, He forgives them."

He forgives them.
He also said, "Whoever sits in a gathering where there is much meaningless talk, and then says before he leaves the sitting:
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتِ
"You are free from all imperfection O Allah, and for You is all praise, I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship but You, I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You"
except that Allah will forgive him for what was in that sitting."ad in another narration: "If there was good in the sitting then it will be a seal for it, and if there was a mix (i.e. of good and bad) in the sitting, then it will be an expiation for him."
Ibnul Qayyim said, "...and there are more than one hundred benefits in the remembrance of Allah: it drives away the Shaytaan, and is pleasing to the Most Merciful, it removes sorrow and worry, and brings about joy and happiness, and strengthens the heart and the body, and it illuminates the face and the heart, and brings about provisions, and covers the good and the bad, and brings about love and mindfulness of Allah, so one worships Allah as if he can see Him, and brings about reliance upon Allah and closeness to Him, and it is nourishment of the heart and soul."10
And every act of worship that is in line with the Sunnah and the correct understanding Allah the Most High until close to the middle of the day. then he turned to me and said, "This is my meal", and another time he said, "I do not leave off making remembrance of Allah except with the intention of giving my soul a break and letting it relax."
