What is Tawheed?
Before the break we confirmed that Tawheed is the most important knowledge of all. Let's start studying Tawheed now, beginning with the meaning of the word Tawheed itself.
New Term
Tawheed means unification. It means asserting oneness. It comes from the root word 'Wahada' which means to unite, to unify, it means to consolidate. Tawheed is the act of ascribing unity to something.
Is this word Tawheed a new word that has not been used before?
Someone may ask, is this word Tawheed a new word, or did it exist before? Well, Tawheed is not a new word, it existed amongst the earliest scholars.
The term Tawheed was used by the Prophet
The Prophet commanded Mu'adh and said:
فليكن أول ما تدعوهم إلى أن يوحدوا الله تعالى
(Fal yakun awwala ma tad'uhum ila ay yuwahhidu Allaha Ta'ala)
"So let the first thing that you invite them to know be the Tawheed of Allah."
The word 'Tawheed' is used in this Hadith.
Imam Muslim (e) in his book reports a Hadith in which one of the Companions mentions:
فأهل بالتوحيد : لبيك اللهم لبيك لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك
(Fa ahalla bi Tawheed: Labbayk Allahumma labbayk labbayk la sharikalaka
labbayk)
"The Prophet
cried out Tawheed. 'Here I am at Thy service O Lord, here I
am. Here I am at Thy service and Thou hast no partners.""
The word 'Tawheed' is mentioned in this Hadith.

Most of us have heard this statement many times 'Quran is a miracle of miracles'. We have heard this many times and we continue to hear this statement often, but the question is that what is it in the Quran that really makes the Quran a miracle? Well to find out more, by mastering the miracles in this book you will master the miracles in the Quran that you may have never heard of. When I found these amazing miracles in the Quran after every miracle that I found I asked myself this question, 'How come I was unaware of this miracle?' 'Why didn't I know about this miracle?' Some miracles amazed me where as some shocked me. I can assure you, once you start reading this book, it will not quench your thirst until you finish reading it and you would feel the same way as what I felt when I got to know about these miracles. This will only increase in knowing your creator, Allah and becoming more obedient to him since this is really the ultimate purpose of our creation.
