From Author:
A new book by Omar Suleiman. So do not ask your Lord when the day of Judgment will be, but ask yourself what deeds have you prepared for that day. In every moment of the day of Judgment, from the moment you rise from their grave to when you take your place in the assembly.
From when you are brought forth to be held accountable by your Lord, to when you are taken to the scale for the scrolls to be weighed, from when you prepare to cross the bridge to your anticipated arrival at the gates of Paradise.
There are good deeds that You have sent forth that will come to your aid. Deeds that will take you by your hand and testify on your behalf, that will settle your feet and shade you from the scorching heat. That will light your way in the darkness and guide you to the abode of eternal delight.

JUDGEMENT DAY: DEEDS THAT LIGHT THE WAY
The Prophet also mentioned that on the Day of Judgement, all people will be gathered in a white and barren plane of land-as smooth and homogenous as a loaf of white bread- that will be devoid of any topographical markers or landmarks. In addition, there will be no trees or prominent structures that will provide them shade on that sweltering and scorching day. The Messenger of Allah also noted that those gathered on this plane will be naked, barefoot, and uncircumcised, which strongly mirrors the way in which they were born. Their mobility will also be hampered, as they will be confined to the space where they were resurrected on. These revelations shocked the Prophet's wife 'A'ishah; the latter asked whether the people would be staring at each other in their nakedness. However, the Prophet said:
لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنُ يُغْنِيهِ.
geben codalber "Every person will be engulfed in their own affair that Day."
In other words, every human being will be concerned with his or her own trial and standing to the extent that he or she will not be bothered by his or her state of nakedness. The Prophet then added that the sun will be at such a low altitude that it could be touched by the onlookers around them. Yet, in this same narration, he also noted how the spiritual and physical effects on those gathered will vary depending on their actions and moral standing. For instance, the Prophet noted:
are peo فَيَكُونُونَ فِي الْعَرَقِ بِقَدْرِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ.
"The elevation of their sweat will be in accordance with their deeds."
to build a home in Paradise, one must be
aware that the building process begins in the temporal plane of this universe. In order to die in a blessed and pious state, one must make sure to live in that manner as well in all stages of one's life.

is preponderant than his outward, his scale shall be heavy on
the Day of Judgement."
One's actions, motives, and intentions will be recorded in one's register of deeds. In fact, even the abstract, mental, and intangible thoughts and intentions will be taken into
consideration. Allah states in the Qur'an:
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ.
"It is certainly We Who resurrect the dead, and write what they send forth and what they leave behind. Everything is listed by Us in a perfect Record."58
Even the works that are deemed to be negligible or minute in this world will be fully considered and weighed in the Mizan. There are several religious texts which confirm that whoever performs even a minuscule act of good in this temporal world will reap its fruits in the Hereafter. Such a promise reflects the infinite mercy and justice of Allah. In an authentic narration, the Prophet is reported to have said:
THE WEIGHT OF ONE'S CHARACTER WORK
Similarly, Anas ibn Malik related that the Prophet once said:
مَنْ رَاحَ رَوْحَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَ لَهُ بِمِثْلِ مَا أَصَابَهُ مِنَ الغُبَارِ مِسْكًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
"Whoever goes forth in the cause of Allah, any dust which strikes him in his journey will appear as musk on the Day of Judgement."
These reports clearly indicate that Allah will measure every single deed that is performed in this world, regardless of its size or significance. In fact, in addition to deeds, the whole body will be inspected as well. Thus, one can never doubt or question the fact that our registers of deeds will accurately reflect our personality, character, and moral fabric.
"Whoever looks after a horse for the sake of Allah while also exercising faith in Him and believing in His promise, the borse's fodder, drink, droppings, and urine will all be positively reflected in his balance on the Day of Judgement."
"So as for those whose scales are heavy with good deeds, they will be in a life of bliss."
AL-QARI'AH, 6-7
Ya-Sin, 12.

Drinking from the Prophet's Hands
uidance (Hidayah) can be appreciated through the simile watering
one's spiritual vitality will be threatened if it is bereft of the teachings of the Prophet. To push the analogy further, water is deemed to be most precious when one suffers from extreme thirst. Likewise, religious guidance is considered to be most valuable when it is retrieved immediately when one is suffering from nihilism or hyper-scepticism vis-à-vis religious truths. The sweetness of perceiving the divine in absolute terms is most appreciated when one has already experienced the darkness of doubts regarding religion. However, such religious certainty and guidance can only be obtained when one observes the religious instructions of the Prophet, which function as a nourishing fountainhead of wisdom.
After passing the trials of the Bridge-over-Hell (Ṣirát) and the Scales (Mizan), the final stage of the Day of Judgement will be none other than the Pool (Hawd), where the sincere
DRINKING FROM THE PROPHET'S HANDS
Muslim believers will be blessed with a drink provided by the Prophet himself. In a famous report related by Anas ibn Malik, the Prophet said that, on the Day of Judgement, he could be found in three different places. After he mentioned the Sirat and the Mizan as the initial points of liability on the Last Day, he finally alluded to the Ḥawd. The Hawd is very significant in Islamic theology due to its inimitable features, for once one partakes of its water, one shall never experience thirst for all eternity.
There are a number of narrations which provide crucial details of the Hawd's nature and dimensions. The massive reservoir derives its water from two straits that are directly connected to al-Kawthar, a blessed river in Paradise that was gifted to the Prophet. In a notable hadith, the Prophet said that the Hawd's water is unique and totally unlike the liquid found in this world; this reservoir's water is not just whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, it also bears the aromatic scent of the musk of Paradise. As for the two straits connected to Paradise, one will be made of pure gold, while the other will consist of pure silver. In sum, the Hawd is a remarkable blessed repository of water that earnestly awaits the believers who will be graced by drinking from it. In fact, after successfully overcoming the trials of the Sirat, the sight of the Hawd itself will immensely please the Muslims; upon seeing it, they will know that all the major trials are left behind and there is only one last stage remaining.
In terms of dimension, the Hawd is colossal. While one narration states that its distance spans from Madinah to
