O that day, it will become very clear to us that all our boasting and hoarding was in vain, as it was not what this life was really about. To illustrate the closeness of the next life, the Prophet (g) compared it to the shoes on our feet. "Abdullah quoted the Prophet() as saying

The previous vene is dramatically repeated to increase its impact on the minds of the listeners. It also points to another time, shortly after the first encounter with the realities of duch, when the follies of this life will seem even more tragic. This verse has been purposely left incomplete by Allah to increase its impact by allowing the later or reader to complete it in one's own mind. This is considered, according to Arabic grammar, the height of eloquence.

The Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah, what is the bridge?
He replied: It is slippery and has hooks some of the believers will cross the bridge in the blinking of an eye, others as quick as lightning, or strong wind, fast horses. or she camels. Some will cross safely without any harm, others will receive some scratches, and some will fall down into hell. The last person will cross as if he were dragged over. (Bukhari)

ISLAMIC STUDIES
About the Book: The second in a unique series of books designed to instill the Islamic identity and belief system in Muslim students, Islamic Studies Book 2, expounds upon the basic understanding of tawheed (Islamic monotheism), tafseer (explanation of the Qur'an), hadeeth (the teachings of the Prophet, peace be upon him) and fiqh (Islamic Law). This book extends significantly towards the author's obvious aim of instilling in the reader the understanding of the uniqueness of the Islamic concept of God and clarifying how Islam is built upon clear, logical principles.
