Description du livre

Praise be to Allah, the One and Only God, the Self- Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, Who begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him. I praise Him and thank Him with never-ending praise, in the best manner as He should be praised. I bear witness that there is no god except Allah, Alone, with no partner or associate, far above having any partners. May Allah send blessings and peace upon the best of the chosen ones, Muhammad, and upon his family and Companions.
I have read this book, Islamic Beliefs - A Brief Introduction to the 'Aqidah of the Righteous Salaf, and I have found it to be valuable. The author limits himself to saying what is correct and quoting evidence to support that. He quotes the words of Ahl as-Sunnah and discusses all issues of Tawhid, faith, the Divine will and decree, and most of the topics that have to do with correct belief. He does not discuss the innovated views of those who misinterpret and distort the texts. He cites convincing evidence that is sufficient for those who are really seeking the truth, and he quotes from Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah and the earliest generations of the ummah; words which indicate that they adhered to the evidence and kept away from bid'ah (innovation, heresy) and newly-innovated matters.

ISLAMIC BELIEFS
At this time of confusion, heresy and division, it is essential for the Muslim to check on his belief and his approach to Islam, so that he may be certain that he is following the path of the Prophet (BPUH) and the early generation of Muslims (the salaf). Without this checking, a Muslim may live his whole life, following a deviant, heretic path, thinking that he is doing the right thing, only to find out when it is too late that this path only leads to Hell.
Many books have been written by the scholars explaining, in great detail, the path of the Prophet (BPUH) and the path of the early generation of Islam. Many of these books are lengthy and written in a complex and difficult style that is only understood by those who have a great deal of knowledge about the deviant sects and their ideas, which puts them beyond the reach of most ordinary readers. In contrast, this book Islamic Beliefs - A Brief Introduction to the 'Aqeedah of the Righteous Salaf, is written in a straightforward style, distilling the knowledge of the scholars and making it accessible to the ordinary Muslim. It touches on the main points of 'aqeedah and explains the main features of the path of the Prophet (BPUH) and the early generation, with brief references to the deviant groups in order to show the contrast between the path of the Prophet (BPUH) and the paths of the deviant groups, between light and darkness, guidance and misguidance. The straightforward approach of this book will allow the reader to follow its arguments and develop a clear picture of the proper approach to and interpretation of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
This is a book which should be on every Muslim's bookshelf, so that he will have, at his fingertips, a concise and readily-accessible reference for the basic issues of his religion.
