God chose Muhammad to be His final Messenger to humanity, and God made him a model for people to follow: "Truly in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example for those who look to Allah and the last Day, and remember Allah much."
It is not surprising, therefore, that the Prophet's daily life was so carefully observed and lovingly recorded by his contemporaries. They paid attention to every detail of his life. Nothing of his personality was hidden from them. Those matters which the public could not observe about his private life, his family faithfully recorded for posterity.
We know so much about his personal life: his eating habits, his waking and sleeping, his everyday activities, his manners at home and while traveling more than we know about any other historical figure or even about any modern celebrity. Indeed, we know more about Prophet Muhammad than we do about our parents or teachers. I would not be exaggerating if I said that we know more about him than we know about our own selves. This is because we all do things that we pay little attention to, but once others have commented on those habits of ours, we become aware of them for the first time. We know about the life of our Prophet down to the smallest detail and what an excellent and fascinating life it was!

Introduction to the First Edition
Praise to God, the Lord of the universe, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger Muhammad and his family and companions.
Here are some moments of contemplation over some of the bright episodes of the life of Prophet Muhammad. They were presented and re-presented by Sheikh Salman bin Fahd al-Uda on television, and quickly gained the appreciation of the public.
Given the importance and beauty of these contemplation pauses, the Scientific Bureau of the institution of Islam Today has decided to publish this work, revising with special scrutiny its content, references, phrasing in some cases, for the sake of more clarity of ideas, without affecting the essence of the original text in any way.
Thus, by presenting this work in this image, we hope to give the reader a chance to approach a Prophetic text in a novel way. This, it is hoped, will lead to a more thorough appreciation of the guidance power of each of the situations portrayed in the work.
Moreover, we are happy to announce to the public that this is but the beginning of a whole series of the works of the honorable Sheikh, which the Scientific Bureau will be publishing.
