Description du livre

Introduction
All praises and gratitude are for Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'älä - Glorified and Exalted is He). We praise Him, seek His help, and beseech His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil in our souls and from our sinful deeds. No one can misguide the one whom Allah (3) leads to the straight path. Similarly, no one can guide the one whom He allows to go astray. We bear witness that there is no true God worthy of worship except Allah. We also bear witness that Muhammad (salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam- blessings and peace be upon him) is His servant and messenger.
(O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].>>
(Qur'an 3: 102)
(O humankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.)
(Qur'an 4:1)

Hadith Terminology and Classification
Islam is a complete way of life that enlightens through the Qur'an and the Sunnah, the true path of guidance and success in this world and the hereaf- ter. However, one must accurately comprehend what has been ordained through the Sunnah and identify the authentic hadiths of the Prophet(). To do that, it is imperative to understand the rules that govern the classifica- tion and definitions of hadith methodology and criticism.
Hadith Terminology and Classification is a concise handbook that aims to facilitate independent seekers of knowledge and students of Hadith Sci- ence. It seeks to acquaint them with the commendable endeavours of the early Muslim scholars in sifting through the immense treasure of hadiths and recognising the authentic gems that form the words and acts of the Prophet (婚).
This is a complete guide that introduces the origin, provenance and develop- ment of the science of Hadith. It also provides taxonomy of hadiths accord- ing to different criteria, including the number of its narrators, authenticity of reports and efficacy in law. Further-
more, it classifies weak hadiths and de- tails the means of eliminating their effect. This is an excellent, in-depth study that significantly elaborates hadith terminology and criticism, making it easier for the reader to under- stand the regulations that authenticate a hadith.
