Umar bin Abdul Azeez is undoubtedly a great and prominent figure of Islamic history, who Muslims shall take pride in, as long as the world remains. Although, his tenure of caliphate lasted for two and a half years only, during this short period of time, he left behind him a legacy of such outstanding guiding principles for future generations, from which rulers and leaders may benefit for many centuries to come.
Every writer has a distinct style of his own. It is my own personal belief that in such books, only those stories should be mentioned which would make the readers sense a positive change within themselves. It should bring about true change within themselves, and a significant improvement should be initiated within their personalities and behaviours.
Upon reading about the life of Umar bin Abdul Azeez, and writing about it in my own words, brought me to the observation that his personality represents an ideal for every part of the society. There are countless benefits and lessons in this book for scholars, students, lawyers, judges, teachers, preachers, orators, businessmen, politician, and in fact for the general people too.
