Description du livre

Descriptions of Paradise – Islamic Insights on Jannah (Hardcover Arabic) | Ibn Abi Dunya

Descriptions of Paradise presents authentic narrations and classical reports about Jannah (Paradise) as described by the Prophet ﷺ. It includes vivid accounts of its attributes, pleasures, gardens, blessings, and the joys that await the believers in the Hereafter. The text draws from compilations of reports traced back through early narrators and serves both as spiritual inspiration and theological insight into the rewards promised in the afterlife.

From Author:

I heard Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi saying: "I witnessed a gathering with the Messenger of Alläh-may Alläh elevate his rank & grant him peace-where he described Paradise until he reached the end. Then, at the conclusion of his speech, he said:
'In it is what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and has never occurred to the heart of a human being.' Then, he recited this verse: {Their sides forsake their beds, as they supplicate to their Lord in fear and hope} [AI-Sajdah 32:16] until His saying: {No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for the eyes; [Al-Sajdah 32:17]. He (Abu Hazim) said: "Then I informed Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Qurazi of this." So he (Muhammad bin Ka'b) said: "Did Abu Hazim narrate this to you?" I said: "Yes." Then he (Muhammad bin Ka'b) said: "Indeed, the intelligent ones are many. O this one!
They concealed their deeds for Alläh, so He concealed for them their reward. When they finally arrive before Him, those eyes will be delighted.
