C5 Şalāh
7. When folding the hands, the palm of the hand should be placed on the back of
the hand.
8. To form a ring around the wrist of the right by gripping it with the thumb and the index of the right hand. The middle, three, ring right hand should close together over the forearm resting above the navel and against
the chest.
9. Then one should recite the du'a' al-istiftäh (tawjih). This du'a' should be recited in the beginning of all Şalah except Şalatul-Janazah
Note: Surah al-Fatihah is fard and it must be recited in every rak'ah of every Şaläh. Even when one is praying jama'ah, one must pray it behind the Imam. In Şalah Salah (audible prayers) one will pray after the Imam completed his Surah al-Fatihah.
In all sirri (quiet prayers with jama'ah) and Şalah, du'a' al-istiftaḥ, ta'awwudh, tasmiyah and Sürah al-Fatihah will be recited.

Sunan of Qira'ah
After the du'a' al-istiftah and at the beginning of every rak'ah, ta'awwudh should be recited.
In the first two rak'at of Fajr, Maghrib, 'Isha', Jumu'ah and 'id, the Qira'ah will be loud and in the remaining rak'at, the Qira'ah will be quiet.
After Surah al-Fatihah, say "Amin" loudly in jahri Salah and softly in the sirri Salah.
A surah should be recited after Surah al-Fatihah in the first two rak'at of all Salah. In the third and fourth rak'at of a fard Salah, there will be no surah after Surah al-Fatihah.
To recite from the Tiwal Mufassal (lengthy surah) like Surah al-Hujurat (49) and Surah Ar-Raḥmān in Fajr and Zuhr, and from the Awṣät Mufassal (medium length surah) like Sürah ash-Shams and Surah Al-Layl in 'Asr and 'Isha', and from the Qisar Mufassal (short sûrah) like Surah al Ikhlas in Maghrib.
To lengthen the first rak'ah of the Fajr Salāh.
The Qur'an should not be recited too fast nor too slow but at a medium pace.
