Islamic Verdicts Regarding
Those Who Mock
Islam and its Followers
Allah declared some people to be non-believers as a
result of vain talk that signified mocking and disdain
of the signs of Allah and His messenger (), and for taking the believers as objects of ridicule.
(And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing". Say, "Is it Allah, His verses and His messenger that you were mocking?")
[Surah At-Tawbah 65-66]
Abdullah bin Wahb reported on the authority of Abdullah bin Umar () that during a gathering in the battle of Tabuk a man uttered: "I have never seen people like these, our so called saints. They can be very gluttonous, deceptive and cowardly during confrontations (with the enemies). A person among those who were present replied to him: "You have lied and you are a hypocrite. I shall inform the messenger of Allah (s) of your words".
When news of this incidence reached the messenger of Allah, the previous verses of the Qur'an were revealed.
Abdullah bin Umar () added: "verily, I have seen him (i.e. the man) clinging to the nose rope of the prophets camel pleading, not even minding the wounds his feet were sustaining while in that situation and was saying: "Messenger of Allah! We were only conversing and jesting. And the messenger of Allah was replying to him: "Is it Allah, His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse for you have rejected faith after your belief"
Have you deliberated over this incidence and drawn a comparison between it and the state of some present day Muslims? Is there no similarity between them?
The messenger of Allah () said: "A person utters a word thoughtlessly (without considering its implications good or bad) and, as a result of this, he will be thrown into the hell fire deeper than the distance between the East and West"

Si dalla Lasbela Foreword by (algic)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Verily, All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him and seek His assistance and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of ourselves and the wickedness of our own deeds. Whomever Allah guides cannot be led astray, and whomever He leaves astray, none can guide him. I bear witness that no deity is worthy of worship except Allah. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and
messenger.

O You who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, the and die not except as Muslims.
