The prevalence of literature discussing Paradise and Hellfire cannot be ignored. However, a problem with this literature is that it includes both authentic and weak hadiths from the Prophet (PBUH) and the authors tend to be lenient in their approach, emphasizing the use of weak hadiths to instill a desire for Paradise and fear of Hellfire in readers. While some argue that knowledge of Paradise and its blessings, and Hellfire and its torment is part of the unseen (Al-Ghayb) and essential to Islamic beliefs (Aqida), others disagree.
