- أخبرنا عَلي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّد بن طلحةَ الرَّاهْلِطِ بِأَصْبَهَانَ شَاسِينَانَ أن أبا الستين على بن إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَوَى لَنَا سَمِعْتُ أَنا يَحْيَى زَكَرِيَّا بَن يَحْيَى الصَّافِي يَقُولُ كُنَّا نَمْشِي في أرقةِ البَصْرَة إِلَى بَاب بَعْضَ الْمُحَدِّثِينِ فَأَسْرَعْنَا فَقَالَ رَجُل مَحْدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ ريَاءِ أَعْجَبْتَكُمْ عَنْ أَجْلِحَةِ المُلائِكَةِ لَا تارموها فقلتُ حَسبي رجلا وشخط .
- الخَبْرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الشَّهِيدِ في البَصْرَة سَمِعْتُ يَقوبُ بن القاسم قال حدلْنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: أوحى الله إلى دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ عَلَيْهِ السلام : « إن الجُدُ نَعْلَيْنَ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ واطلب العلم خلى للكبر العصا وتخرق اللغُلانِ».
