أصول التوحيد: التوحيد الإسلامي

التوحيد، أي الإيمان بوحدانية الله، هو الركن الأساسي للدين الإسلامي. وبصفتهم خلفاء الله في الأرض، يُؤمر البشر بتجسيد هذا الإيمان في كل جانب من جوانب حياتهم. فبدون التوحيد، لا معنى لأعمالنا وعباداتنا. هذه حقيقةٌ مُريعةٌ يجب علينا إدراكها لتصحيح أفكارنا وأقوالنا وأفعالنا، لننال الثواب المنشود ونتجنب العقاب الشديد. يُقدم الدكتور فيليبس إرشاداتٍ أساسيةً حول كيفية تمييز الممارسات التي تُناقض التوحيد، مما يُمكّننا من تصحيح أي أنماط فكرية أو سلوكية خاطئة، والتقرب إلى الله بما يُرضيه.

Literally Tawhid means "unification" (making something one) or "asserting oneness," and it comes from the Arabic verb wahḥada which itself means to unite, unify, or consolidate.' However, when the term Tawhid is used in reference to Allah (i.e. Tawhidullah2), it means realizing and maintaining of Allah's unity in all of man's actions which directly or indirectly relate to Him. It is the belief that Allah is One, without partner in His dominion (Rububiyah), One without similitude in His essence and attributes (Asma' was-Sifat), and One without rival in His divinity and in worship (Uluhiyah / 'Ibadah). These three aspects form the basis for the categories into which the science of Tawhid has been traditionally divided. The three overlap and are inseparable to

About the Author: Dr. Abu Ameenah BILAL PHILIPS was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and grew up in Canada, where he accepted Islam in 1972. He completed a B.A. in Islamic Disciplines from the Islamic University of Madeenah, Saudi Arabia, an M.A. in Islamic Theology at the University of Riyadh, College of Education, and a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies at the University of Wales, UK. From 1994 to 2001, Dr. Philips founded and directed the Islamic Information Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He was a professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the American University in Dubai and Ajman University, head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Preston University-Ajman, UAE, and is currently a lecturer at Qatar Guest Center, Doha, Qatar.
