بسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
“Alhumdulillah. Indeed, all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him and seek His Help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from our souls' evils and our wrong doings. He whom Allah guides, no one can misguide; and he whom He misguides, no one can guide.
I bear witness that there is no God except Allah- alone without any partners. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His 'abd and Messenger."

Time is a great measure of our success or failure. We know that life on earth is temporary, and its eternal accomplishment lies in pleasing Allah, the Almighty by living our lives according to His Commandments. To do this, we must understand the value of time and make optimum use of it in matters that are beneficial to us. We cannot afford to waste, or even abuse it, because once it has passed, it will never return.
Time flies by quickly!
The day hardly starts, and the nights are upon us.
We enter the new calendar year in January and before we know it, it's already October and the year is almost over. Before we realize what's happened, it is too late to go back to change the things
we want.
We go from year to year in a flash. We often ask ourselves and others, "Where has the time gone?"

The Prophet Muhammed said, "The people of Paradise will have no regrets, except for moments that passed by them in which they did not remember Allah." (al-Mu'jam al-Kabir 182)
Allah has blessed us with the gift of time, yet, by the time we realize its value, it has already slipped away. No matter how much we regret losing or misusing it, it will never return.
If we had to account for the hours we spend shopping, watching mindless television shows, playing sport excessively or just whiling the hours away on our mobile phones, we would get a good idea of how much time and energy we spend being unproductive.
These are hours we can utilize more productively to do good deeds that are intended for Allah's pleasure, earning a higher status in the hereafter. Although the people of Paradise will have earned their place there, they will still regret the moments they wasted

We take care of the sowing and labour;
Allah will manage the harvest.
"Verily! We have made that which is on earth as an adornment, in order that We may test them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds."
(SURAH AL-KAHF, 18:7)
Allah, Almighty made this beautiful earth a comfortable examination hall in which we are all being given open book tests, with answers clearly stated in the Quran and Hadith. He has also blessed us with the best of resources to pass these tests and has specified that JANNAH is the reward for those who succeed.
The challenge is that we a have limited amount of time to achieve our purpose. Either we make the most of it by accumulating as many good deeds as possible whilst we are in this examination hall or heedlessly wile it away, only to find regrets on the Day of Judgement.
NOW is the best time to act. When death comes, our examination time is UP!

About the author
Umm Muhammad Abizer is a Dubai based student of Islamic studies and has been pursuing this path since she reverted to Islam in 2000. A bachelor's graduate in Business Management, Allah guided her to study under qualified teachers in the field of Aqeedah, Tafseer, Fiqh, Grammar and Tajweed.
Umm Muhammad is a published author of two books, 'Shaytan Or The Nafs: Who Is Our Stronger Enemy?' and 'When The Two Seas Meet', which she has co-authored.
