The righteous had many visions of the Prophet and it has been famed that some from this Ummah had many visions on a regular basis. To the extent that some people classified works on this topic
Of the works which have been authored in regards to this subject are:
Muhammad Kanun, Hidayat ul-Muhibb wa'l-Mushtaq al-Mustaham li'r- Ru'yat man buniya 'alayhi'l-Mulk wa'l-Khilafah fi'l-Manam 'alayhi Salat wa's- Salam [Guiding the Eager and Devoted Lover to Visualise the One Upon Whom Had the Dominion and Caliphate Built for, in Dreams]
* Muhammad 'Abdur Rahim, Qasas wa Akhbar man Ra'a Sayyid al-Abrar fil- Manam [Stories and Reports of Those Who Saw the Master of the Righteous in Dreams]. Egypt: 1410 AH/1990 CE.
As for the works which have not been published then they are very many and it is difficult to restrict and compile them, yet these are what I came across:
* Abū 'Abdullah Muhammad al-Adh'ati (d.727 AH/1327 CE), Tuhfat ut- Tullab al-Mustaham fi Ru'yat an-Nabi 'alayhi's-Salat wa's-Salam [A Gift for Devoted Seekers for Visualising the Prophet upon him be prayers and peace]. There is a manuscript copy of this in the As'ad Effendi Library and it was mentioned in Kashf udh-Dhunun, vol. 1, pp.368-369 and Hidyat ul-Arifin,
