اعلم أن للتوحيد خصائص عظيمة ومزايا كثيرة تدل على علو شأنه ورفعة مكانته، وسأشير هنا إلى عشر منها:
الأولى: أنه الغاية التي خُلقنا لأجلها وأوجدنا لتحقيقها، كما يشير إلى ذلك قول الله جل وعلا: {وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ} [سورة الذاريات: 56].
ومعنى {إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ} أي: ليوحدون، فالتوحيد هو الغاية التي خُلقنا من أجلها في هذه الحياة، فما خلقنا الله جل وعلا عبثاً ولا تركنا سدى، بل خلق الخلق ليعبدوه، وأوجدهم ليوحدوه، وكفى بهذا دليلاً على عظم شأن التوحيد وعلو مكانته.
