وصف الكتاب
Far From Home by Na’ima B. Robert is a powerful and moving young adult historical fiction novel set in Zimbabwe. The story is told through the perspectives of two girls, Tariro and Katie, separated by decades yet united by a shared, painful legacy. Tariro is a 14-year-old tribal girl in 1964 Rhodesia, deeply connected to her ancestral land and her people, until colonial forces strip her of everything she holds dear. Decades later, Katie, also 14, is the daughter of a white farmer in the same land, only for her life to be turned upside down when her family is forced to leave the farm. As their lives intertwine across time, the novel explores themes of identity, belonging, colonial injustice, and reconciliation.
