CHAPTER 2
CREATION OF ĀDAM & HIS WIFE
The Angels' Opinion About the Forthcoming Humans
THE ANGELS' CONCERN
Before creating Adam. Allah (5) told the angels of His plan to create him and have him later dwell on Earth. The angels (sa) expressed concern regarding this prospective creature, expecting humans to cause mischief on Earth. Allah (3) says:
«Say (O Muḥammad), "It is great news from which you turn away. I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly (of angels) when they were disputing (the creation of Adam). It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner.">
Elsewhere in the Qur'an, Allah (3) tells us more about the angels" argument. He says:

CHAPTER 1
ĀDAM'S MERITS
Allah Honored and Favored Ādam
Allah () distinguished Adam () over most people and favored him with special merits and great qualities. Allah (5) says:
<< Indeed, Allah distinguished Adam, Nüḥ (Noah), the family of Ibrahim (Abraham), and the family of 'Imran (Amram) above all people.>>
FATHER OF ALL HUMANS
Among Adam's merits is that Allah (%) chose him to be the father of all human beings. Huthayfah (4) reported that the Prophet () said:
<All of you are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from soil.> 2
ALLAH CREATED HIM WITH HIS OWN HANDS
Among Adam's merits is that Allah (5) created him with His own hands. Addressing Satan, Allah (3) said:
