Yusuf b. 'Abd al-Hadi al-Hanbali
Ibn Qudamah al-Maqdisi (541–620 AH / 1147–1223 CE) was one of the greatest scholars of the Hanbali school of Islamic jurisprudence. He was a leading authority in Fiqh, known for his deep knowledge, balanced approach, and clear writing style.
He authored several influential works, including al-Mughni, one of the most comprehensive books in comparative Islamic law. His writings are widely studied in Islamic institutions and are valued for presenting rulings based on strong evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah.
