Muhammad bin ‘Abdul‑Wahhab (1703–1792) was a prominent Arab Muslim scholar, theologian, jurist, and reformer from ‘Uyaynah in the Najd region of Arabia, best known for his emphasis on restoring the pure teachings of Islam as found in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
