Muhammad Abdullah Draz

Muhammad Abdullah Draz (1894–1958) was a distinguished Egyptian Islamic scholar, often referred to as “the teacher of the teachers.” He made lasting contributions to Quranic studies and Islamic thought — especially in maqasid (objectives) and moral interpretation. His seminal work Morality in the Quran was originally written as a doctoral thesis at the Sorbonne in France, earning top distinction and setting a new standard in Quranic ethics literature.
