Imam Ibn Kathir was a leading Syrian scholar of the 14th century and author of the famous Tafsir Ibn Kathir. A student of Ibn Taymiyyah, he specialized in Qur’an commentary, Hadith, and Islamic history. His books, including Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah, are among the most authoritative works in Islamic scholarship.
