Imam Hafiz Ahmad Bin Ali

Imam Al-Hafiz Ahmad ibn Ali ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (773–852 AH / 1371–1449 CE) is one of the most respected scholars of hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, and Arabic literature. His monumental commentary Fathul-Bari is universally recognized as the most detailed and authoritative explanation of Sahih Al-Bukhari — itself regarded as the most authentic collection of prophetic narrations after the Qur’an. Al-Asqalani’s work draws on centuries of earlier scholarship, clarifies complex issues, and provides historical and legal context, making it indispensable for advanced Islamic scholarship.
