Imam An-Nasai (215–303 AH / 830–915 CE), whose full name was Abu Abd al-Rahman Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i, was a renowned Hadith scholar and compiler of the classical Islamic tradition. He was born in Nasa, in the region of Khurasan, and travelled extensively in pursuit of knowledge, studying and transmitting Hadith in places including Khurasan, the Hijaz, Egypt, and Syria. He eventually settled in Egypt.
