Imam adh-Dhahabi & Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani
Imam Shams al-Din adh-Dhahabi (1274–1348 CE) was a renowned Islamic scholar, historian, and expert in Hadith sciences. Born in Damascus, he became one of the greatest authorities in ‘Ilm al-Rijal (the science of narrators) and Hadith authentication. He studied under prominent scholars, including Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, and authored numerous influential works.
Imam Ahmad ibn Ali ibn Hajar al-‘Asqalani (1372–1449 CE) was one of the greatest Hadith scholars in Islamic history. Born in Egypt, he became widely recognized for his mastery in Hadith, jurisprudence (fiqh), and Islamic scholarship. He served as a chief judge (Qadi) in Cairo and taught many students who later became prominent scholars.
