Hammudah ,Abd al Ati
Dr. Hammudah Abd al-Ati was an Egyptian-Canadian Muslim scholar, sociologist, and author known for his influential writings on Islamic family life, marriage, society, and Islamic culture. He studied sociology and social anthropology and devoted much of his academic and writing career to explaining Islamic teachings in a clear and systematic way.
He is best known for his classic work Islam in Focus, which provides an accessible introduction to fundamental Islamic beliefs, worship, morality, and the Islamic way of life. Another major work, The Family Structure in Islam, examines marriage, family relationships, responsibilities, and the social principles that form the foundation of the Muslim family.
