al-Imam Musa b. Uqbah

Musa ibn Uqbah (d. 141 AH) was a distinguished early Muslim historian and scholar specializing in Maghazi (accounts of the Prophet’s ﷺ campaigns). He was a student of prominent scholars and is regarded as one of the earliest authors to compile a dedicated work on the military expeditions of the Prophet ﷺ.

Great scholars like Imam Malik strongly recommended his work, considering it among the most authentic sources on the Prophet’s campaigns. His writings are valued for their reliability, concise narration, and connection to early Islamic sources.
