Abdullah Yusuf Ali (1872–1953) was a renowned Indian Muslim scholar, writer, and translator of the Qur’an. He is best known for his influential English translation, The Holy Qur’an: Text, Translation and Commentary, which includes explanatory notes to help readers understand the meanings and teachings of the Qur’an.
