The Prophet Muhammad() was brought up by his grandfather 'Abd al-Muttalib, and then by his paternal uncle Abu Tâlib. His uncle took care of him and taught him good manners. In his early youth, the Prophet Muhammad () used to herd sheep.

When the attacks of the Quraysh became many, the Prophet Muhammad() went to a town called At-Ta'if to get a safe place for the Muslims. But the people of that town refused to listen to him and asked him to leave At-Ta'if. So the Prophet Muhammad left, and the people of the town threw stones at him, until his heels began to bleed.

In the year 11 AH, the Prophet Muhammad() fell ill. His illness worsened and he died () on the morning of Monday the 12th of Rabi' Al-Awwal. The Muslims were very sad. The Prophet Muhammad was washed and prayed over the next day. That night he was buried in the house of 'Âïsha.

At that time, Makkah was full of idols that the Arabs worshipped. When the Prophet's (+) mother gave birth to him, a light illuminated the house as well as the palaces of Syria. When he was born, his grandfather brought him to the Ka'bah, he invoked Allah and thanked Him. He chose for him the name Muhammad.
