BIRTH
Muhammad (Blessings and peace be upon him) was born in Makkah, Arabia, on Monday, 12 Rabi' al-Awwal (2 August 570 C.E). His mother, Aminah was the daughter of Wahb ibn 'Abd Manaf of the Zahrah family. His father, 'Abdullah, was the son of 'Abdul-Muttalib. His genealogy has been traced to the noble house of Isma'il, the son of Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon them, in about the fortieth descent.
Muhammad's father had died before his birth and his mother died when he was about six years old, leaving him an orphan.
In accordance with the tradition of noble families of Makkah, he was taken by a foster mother, Ḥalimah, to her village where he lived for a few years. During these years, he was taken to Makkah several times to visit his mother. After the death of his mother

Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and Peace be upon him) and the continued hardships he underwent in every stage of his life are a real blessing for mankind. Being an orphan child, made him compassionate to the poor, widows and orphans. His multiple marriages intended to strengthen kinship amongst the different tribes. His message and prophethood were challenged by the polytheistic society in Makkah, urging him and his few followers to emigrate to Madinah. Despite his illiteracy, he conveyed Allah's Book, the Noble Qur'an to mankind, teaching them endless values and principles that are presently adopted by billions of Muslims throughout the world.
In this Book, Allah, the Almighty, addresses the Prophet (bpuh) by saying: [And We have not sent you [O' Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.] (Qur'an 21: 107)
